Generator Rex: Back in Black

Tonight, the latest episode of GR aired, and dang was it a good one! Like the end of last weeks episode, I am dying to see next weeks!

Again, please watch the episode before reading this, as there will be spoilers.

Alright, first off, we do not get to learn who Black Knight is. I am still craving to figure out who she is.
I have one crazy theory, but please hear me out. To me, she resembles Circe in a way. Her expressions and eyes. But also, the fact that she has PURPLE hair. Perhaps many people have forgotten, but Circe dyed her hair from red to purple. Okay it is unlikely...but with time travel, anything is possible. Maybe it's someone related to Circe...

Anyways, from this episode, we simply learn she is Providence's new leader, put in power by people above White Knight. What is safe to assume is that Black Knight is NOT Breach.

Black Knight:  Breach isn't here Rex. The world has changed. The sooner you accept that--
Rex: Not ignoring you, it's just that your not real.

The world has indeed changed. The old Generator Rex show which we grew so accustomed to is gone. I feel like I'm watching a new show from the very beginning, with a new major villain and plot line. But who are these people above White Knight?

Black Knight: Director had lost faith in his abaility to lead.
Rex: ...I never knew White even had a boss.
Black Knight: There are, shall we say, layers.

Regardless of who the director is, White Knight is gone from Providence. Providence has moved past their old ways of "cure, contain, and kill" and are now actually controlling EVO's. What is most fascinating about this concept is that Cesar is the one who created the new technology, and even uses the technology to control his own brother.

Cesar (about to shoot Rex with the controlling beam): Of course I'm thinking. This is the logical conclusion to what we started.

So Cesar has finally turned somewhat evil...well not really. But this is the first concrete proof of Cesar turning on his brother. And what does Cesar mean when he says what we started. I have a feeling it relates to a much deeper plot line, one we hopefully find out about very soon!

I was happy to see that the end of the episode, Rex leaves Providence and is reunited back with his old friends (Bobo, Dr. Holiday, Six, and even White Knight). I would have died in anticipation if it was another cliffhanger. It seems that a new plot line for season three has now been developed. New Providence against Old Providence. But what are the true purposes of New Providence?

Six: But one thing is sure. New Providence is about more than just getting Evo off the streets.

SO we know they want to control Evo's. But why? Does new Providence truly just want to save people, or is there something more they are hoping to accomplish?

Nevertheless, despite all the questions I have about Black Knight and Cesar, the only thing that I really wanted to know by the end of the episode was: Where's Noah?

Happy Watching.
